Smart Tweezers are a high-precision digital LCR and Voltage meter in a set of tweezers. They feature a highly accurate digital multimeter integrated with high precision SMD probes and a display. Easy one-hand operation makes it very convenient for component evaluation on a PCB or a production line, component impedance testing and sorting of SMD components. An alternative model of Digital Multimeter Smart Tweezers is powered by rechargeable batteries with an Inductive Charger that virtually eliminates necessity of battery replacement. This model is highly advisable if you use Smarrt Tweezers on a regular basis for more than 2 hours a day. Integration of high-precision SMD probes and the display, combined with an automatic recognition of the type of component being measured (L, C, or R) and the best measurement range allow the user to concentrate on the tested component. As a result, testing, sorting and evaluation of components is done much quicker, Smart Tweezers does this job just in one touch.

The new Smart Tweezers model has replaceable gold-plated probes. Three types of Smart Tweezers probes are available, regular, straight and bent.

Smart Tweezers Measurement of Inductance, Capacitance, Resistance

Once Smart Tweezers probes make a contact with a component, you see the reading of the main impedance component (L,C, or R) on the Primary display. The secondary display (at the top of the LCD screen) shows value of the secondary impedance component, such as a parasitic resistance of the capacitor (effective series resistor ESR). The Bar Graph provides an analog indication of the measured main impedance value.

Smart Tweezers Measurement of Voltage

The Smart Tweezers is capable of measuring voltage activated by the slide-switch located at the left-low corner of the Smart Tweezers unit. In the Auto mode, Smart Tweezers measure DC voltage up to 8 Volts. In the Trace mode, it shows an oscilloscope-like picture of an AC voltage.

Smart Tweezers Continuity/Open Test

The Smart Tweezers is designed for a continuity test. The beeper sounds when a resistance reading is below a threshold, or to indicate an open circuit.

Smart Tweezers Ergonomic Design and Convenient Controls

Smart Tweezers features a Jog Dial button to select a menu item from the list to selected a function or to change settings. Rotate the Jog Dial button to select an item and push it down to activate the selection.

One hand held Smart Tweezers is ten times lighter than conventional tools yet providing same high accuracy and fully automatic measurements. Smart Tweezers features flexible user interface allowing to configure default settings, for example to adjust the screen for a left-hand use.
